These terms apply to visitors using this website, its content, the survey unit converter, cost estimator and Topo Survey game. By continuing to use the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not rely on or use the site.

“Mini Civils” refers to the surveying service presented as Site Surveys | Mini Civils. Website enquiries may be directed to Corrie at info@minicivils.co.za or +27 83 267 0627.

Website descriptions are invitations to discuss work, not binding offers. Sending a message, requesting a call, using a tool or receiving an automated acknowledgement does not create an appointment or require Mini Civils to accept a project.

A project is subject to an agreed scope, deliverables, site information, programme, price and any project-specific conditions. If these website terms conflict with signed or expressly accepted project terms, the project terms govern that work.

Website content is general information. It is not cadastral, engineering, architectural, legal, safety or construction advice, and it is not a survey report or certification.

Conditions, tolerances, control, datum, accuracy and deliverables differ between projects. Decisions about a real site should be based on appropriate source records, current drawings, a defined scope and work performed by a suitably qualified person where required.

Unit converter

Conversions are provided as a practical reference. Historical units can have different definitions and contexts. Verify the original unit, record and applicable legal basis before using a result.

Cost estimator

Any estimate is an indicative planning aid, not a quotation. Actual fees depend on location, access, site conditions, scope, required accuracy, control, deliverables, programme and other project factors.

Topo Survey game

The game uses simulated terrain, perfect observations and simplified interpolation. Scores, labels and results are entertainment and education only. They do not represent professional competence, a real survey, an accepted tolerance or fit-for-purpose data.

Do not use outputs from any website tool for design, construction, boundary determination, legal description, quantity certification or another decision requiring verified professional information.

You may use the website for lawful personal or business reference. You may not interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, scrape it in a way that degrades service, misrepresent its content or use its name, branding or outputs to imply endorsement.

Unless stated otherwise, website text, visual design, branding, graphics, game code and original tool content are owned by or licensed to Mini Civils and are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Ordinary browser viewing and reasonable sharing of a page link are permitted. Reproduction, resale, republication or adaptation requires prior written permission unless the law allows it.

Third-party names, documents and linked resources remain the property of their respective owners.

Links to WhatsApp, social networks, publications and other external resources are provided for convenience. Mini Civils does not control their availability, security, content or privacy practices and does not endorse every statement on a linked service.

An email, WhatsApp message or other electronic communication is treated as received when it is actually accessed and acknowledged by Mini Civils, not merely when sent. Urgent site or safety matters should be followed up by telephone.

The website may be corrected, changed, suspended or withdrawn without notice. Reasonable care is taken, but uninterrupted access, error-free operation, compatibility and freedom from harmful code cannot be guaranteed.

These terms may be updated when the site, services or law changes. Continued use after publication of an update means the revised website terms apply from their effective date.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mini Civils is not liable for loss caused by reliance on general website content, game scores, calculator outputs, unavailable pages, external links or information used outside its stated purpose.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability, duties or consumer rights that South African law does not permit to be excluded or limited. Liability relating to an accepted surveying appointment is governed by the agreed project terms and applicable law.

Personal information is handled as described in the Privacy Policy. These website terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Before beginning formal proceedings, the parties should try in good faith to resolve a website-related dispute through direct written communication.

If a provision is unlawful or unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary; the remaining provisions continue to apply. A failure to enforce a provision immediately is not a waiver of it.
