FIELD CHALLENGE // FIVE SITES
TOPO SURVEY.
You cannot see the true ground yet. Choose where to take shots, build your surface, then compare your model with the terrain that was hiding underneath.
THE BRIEF
READ THE GROUND WITH POINTS.
Each shot gives you one accurate elevation. The challenge is deciding where another point will improve the model—and where it will only waste time.
Start with coverage around the site, then add observations where the ground appears to change. On a keyboard, move the survey cursor with the arrow keys and press Enter to take a shot.
Tap or click the plan to take a shot. Keyboard: arrows move the cursor; Shift + arrows move faster; Enter records a shot.
Take your first shot.

This is an educational game—not surveying software, professional advice or a statement of acceptable survey tolerance. Real topographical surveys require appropriate control, equipment, observations, breaklines, checks and a scope suited to the intended use. See the website terms.
