AREA 05B / RURAL PROJECT TERRITORY

A SMALL PLACE WITH A LARGE LANDSCAPE.

Hekpoort is a rural node shaped by the Magalies River, agriculture, tourism routes and properties spread through the valley. Survey work here does not behave like a conventional suburban brief.

Small population. Large sites. Real terrain.

WHY THIS AREA

WHERE MINI CIVILS FITS

Agriculture, lodges, venues and rural homes bring long boundaries, changing levels and drainage conditions that need to be captured selectively and clearly.

The area is served on a project basis from the West Rand, with travel and required field time agreed before attendance.

LOCAL GROUND // HEKPOORT

TOURISM AND AGRICULTURE SHARE THE SAME VALLEY.

Municipal planning treats Hekpoort as a rural node and tourism focus where agricultural activity and environmental quality remain central.

The work is landscape-led: agriculture, water, access and rural development matter more here than suburban density.
01

AGRICULTURE

WATER AND LEVELS ARE PRODUCTIVE ASSETS.

Irrigation and cultivation make terrain, drainage and river relationships part of everyday economic decisions.

02

TOURISM

THE R560 AND R563 ARE GATEWAYS.

Visitor routes support accommodation, venues, food and outdoor activity across properties that still read as countryside.

03

RURAL NODE

FOCUSED GROWTH MAKES MORE SENSE THAN SPRAWL.

Planning directs business, community facilities and rural development toward a node while protecting the wider landscape that supports it.

THREE CORE ACTIVITIES

ALMOST EVERY SITE QUESTION STARTS HERE.

TYPICAL REQUESTS

WHAT THE WORK MAY INCLUDE

  • Farm and irrigation topography
  • Rural building set-out
  • Access-road positions and levels
  • Drainage and river-valley terrain
  • Platform and earthworks checks
  • As-built and completion verification

FIELD CONDITIONS // HEKPOORT

LARGE RURAL SITES MAKE THE SCOPE MATTER.

A lodge expansion, irrigation problem, rural road or building platform may occupy only a small part of a much larger property. Defining the useful survey area prevents wasted field time without ignoring the terrain that controls the decision.

Detailed field stories are being prepared for , the forthcoming Mini Civils project portfolio.

ANOTHER ONE OF MY DAD'S SAYINGS

“DON'T BE GREEDY. LET THE SUN SHINE ON EVERYONE.”

NOT EVERY JOB NEEDS TO BE OURS.

We take on work when the scope, programme and travel make sense. If someone in our network is closer, has more suitable equipment or specialises in exactly what the project needs, we will say so and help point the client in the right direction.

The right person. The right equipment. The right job. Zero BS.

SEND THE LOCATION. SEND THE QUESTION.

WE'LL TELL YOU IF IT MAKES SENSE.

Include the site location, what is being built or checked, the approximate site size, available drawings and the required timeframe.
